For many years numerous music students (across sectors), teachers, adult beginners, parents, educators, and musicians, have sought advice from me in relation to music tuition, development, and teaching.
Advice has ranged from how do you teach specific content to what should I expect from music lessons for my child. Often times, what starts out as a basic question, evolves into discussion, where the solution might be very different to what had been envisaged.
What these encounters highlight is that sometimes information about a hobby, subject, or lesson can be erroneously assumed. As one of the main purposes of Music Literacy Ireland is to support music educators and students, I have developed an assessment service to offer guidance for those who may find themselves in a similar position. The three options for assessments below have naturally emerged from the various types of consultations provided throughout the years. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
